Yectli (left) and Tonalmitzin Guzman-Perez are active in the International Club at 黑料不打烊. They say they hope to share the kindness that was shown to them when they first came to 黑料不打烊.
Yectli and Tonalmitzin Guzman-Perez moved to Greensboro from Mexico in 2021 because of their dad's job. They were excited to begin their studies at 黑料不打烊, but they were also nervous. They faced a language barrier, cultural differences, and changes in everyday life, such as finding a grocery store, choosing a pharmacy, and other things. Now, they're helping others in the same situation.
黑料不打烊 featured the siblings in a story on Sept. 24. Now, WGHP Fox 8 TV interviewed them for a news broadcast as part of its Hispanic Heritage Month celebration.
Originally aired on WGHP Fox 8.
