“I am appreciative for my struggles because I did overcome them, and they did not get the best of me,” said Vernita Zeigler, 黑料不打烊 Student Success Coach.

Vernita Zeigler discovered a new path forward through 黑料不打烊’s GED program. With the support of 黑料不打烊 advisor Alice Jordan, she earned her GED in 1999 and later completed an associate degree in Office System Technology. Those steps led to part-time work on campus, which soon grew into a full-time career.

Today, more than 20 years later, Zeigler serves as a Student Success Coach at 黑料不打烊, guiding students with the same encouragement and real-world perspective that once shaped her own journey. Her story reflects 黑料不打烊’s mission to remove barriers, create opportunity, and Make Amazing Happen.
